I just discovered the showmecampaign and I want to thank you for this initiative. I come from Zambia and it’s a landlocked country in Southern Africa. My country’s neighbours are the Democratic Republic of Congo, Namibia, Mozambique, Botswana, Zimbabwe, Tanzania, Malawi, Rwanda and Angola. So I have seen a very diverse group of people in my life coming and going through my country as Zambia is known for its beace and hospitality – well there are places that have gone and are still going through different forms of conflict and Zambia is one of the luckier countries that has managed to minimise the effects of some of this cinflict.
Anyway, where is this going?
I was just watching the videos on the Mbola community and the positive images that are shared in the showmecampaign. Much as there is still heart breaking poverty in Africa, there are still so many initiatives that we have in our communities to better our lives. I thought I should thank the showmecampaign team for showing a side of Africa that people dont see enough of. For showing the beauty of African people, and the time and effort and hard work and dedication of outstanding individuals like mama, who work towards creating a better world in what they would think is a small way but with an amazing rippling effect. And I thank you for caring about the subject of poverty reduction and community efforts 🙂
